These kittens wandered into the backyard of the Stone Gatehouse at four weeks of age. Feral and hungry, they allowed themselves to be caught but spit, scratched and even bit. After weeks of handling, they realized that they were safe. It took a while but all three were successfully domesticated and placed in loving homes.
Grey girl is now named Pepper. She lives in Manhattan with a senior citizen cat, Popcorn, who adores her. White Button and Grey Boy are living together in Brooklyn with a Chihuaua named Suzie.
